In honor of National Immunization Awareness Month, we encourage you to protect you and your family’s health by being immunized–especially with school starting and flu season approaching.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone six months and older receive an annual flu vaccine. The timing and duration of seasonal flu varies, but usually the best time to get vaccinated is September or when the vaccine becomes available.
Ask your healthcare provider about the flu vaccine and other recommended vaccines. He or she can answer your questions about the risks and benefits of vaccines and direct you to reliable online resources, such as CDC.gov.
