Want to start anew for the new year? Try the much raved about Lemonade Master Cleanse Diet sweeping the nation! Beyonce has voiced that it was this diet that got her in shape for one of her past movies.
For 10 days or more (up to 40 days) do the following:
1) Start each day on an empty stomach with a “Salt Water Flush”
– 1 Quart of water (room temperature water & do not use distilled water) mix in 1-2 Tbsps of Non-Iodized Sea Salt (do NOT use table salt). Drink immediately. This flush can also be substituted with a laxative or the Smooth Move Senna Tea mentioned below in step 3.
2) Drink a minimum of 6 glasses (no more than 12 glasses) of the following “Lemonade Mixture“
Mix the following & drink immediately:
– 1-2 cups of water (do NOT use distilled). Water can be room temperature, cold or heated for more of a “hot tea” experience.
– 1/2 of a squeezed lemon (equivilent to 2 Tbsps of fresh squeezed juice from 1/2 of a lemon). Roll the lemon on a hard surface before cutting it to get it softened & juicy. Do NOT refrigerate the lemons. Do NOT use store bought lemon juice. Lemons (& limes) are known to be the richest source of minerals & vitamins of any foods known to man & they are available year round.
– 2 Tbsps of Rich Genuine Maple Syrup (organic & Grade B or C are best for this recipe but Grade A will also suffice for a lighter flavor). Can be found at Sprouts markets or like stores. The Maple Syrup is a balanced form of positive & negative sugars & must be used & never substituted. This is where most of your daily calories come from as well as many of the vitamins & minerals needed. Do NOT use honey. For those who are overweight, less maple syrup may be taken; or add more syrup if wishing to not lose weight.
– 1/10 Tsp of Cayenne Pepper (or more to taste; organic is preferred)
*Each ingredient serves a specific purpose so do NOT eliminate anything. The Cayenne Pepper breaks up the mucus & increases the warmth by building the blood for an additional lift. It also adds vitamin B & C to the diet.
3) At night, drink 1 cup of Traditional Medicinal Organic Smooth Move Senna Tea (any flavor, available at Sprout’s markets or like stores) at least 1-hour before bedtime. This works as a laxative so be ready! 🙂
NO OTHER FOOD SHOULD BE CONSUMED DURING THE FULL PERIOD OF THE DIET (vitamin pills/supplements are also NOT needed & should NOT be taken).
Per Stanley Burroughs book The Master Cleanser, this diet is a complete balance of minerals & vitamins & contains all of the nutrition needed during this time.
You can & should drink plenty of water (NOT distilled) throughout the day as desired. Try to avoid drinking more than double the amount of Lemonade each day. Drinking enough water helps to wash out the toxins being released out of our body during the cleanse. It also helps prevent possible headaches as well as feeling of hunger or cravings that surface during the detox.
Every day of the Master Cleanse diet that you overcome the psychological need to eat, you feel a growing sense of control that motivates you to complete the process! The diet can be completed 3-4 times a year.
